Jennifer Stein, BA

Jennifer Stein, BA

Eating Disorder Intuitive Therapy (EDIT)™ - Counselor Intern

Jennifer will graduate with a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in Mindfulness-based Transpersonal Counseling from Naropa University in May 2018. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in French from the University of Michigan and certification in Early Childhood Waldorf Education. Jennifer taught and tutored K-12 French and later became a lead Waldorf kindergarten teacher. Teaching blended well with Jennifer’s interest in human behavior and psychology, underpinning many of her educational and therapeutic interventions in the classroom. Jennifer eventually decided to study counseling and therapy because of her passion to help others delve into difficult emotional places, especially those that manifest in body-image issues and eating disorders. Jennifer incorporates mindfulness, visualization, and somatic practices that complement the therapeutic process and are helpful in attaining freedom from dieting, eating disorders and cultural norms around body image. Jennifer hopes to empower others to find liberation in nourishing their body, mind and spirit.

“Let’s explore ways to nourish and listen to your body, mind, and spirit, allowing your innate wisdom lead to health and wholeness.

Jeung-il Tsumagari, BA

Jeung-il Tsumagari, BA

Eating Disorder Intuitive Therapy (EDIT)™ - Counselor Intern

Jeung-il will graduate with a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in Transpersonal Art Therapy from Naropa University in May 2018. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Studio Art from the State University of New York at New Paltz. Jeung-il has been working with food and art for the past seven years to bring healing to her own life journey. She believes that our relationship with food can be a reflection of the challenges and joys we experience. She also notes that some of life’s deepest wisdom is revealed to us when we engage in the creative art process, since our mind, body, and spirit become involved. Through art, our inner narrative begins to voice its story – as the images unfold, so does our true meaning. Jeung-il’s theoretical orientation incorporates Transpersonal, Strengths-Based, and  Humanistic or “person-centered” approaches. In hopes to meet each client where they are, mindfulness practices can be added as part of the therapeutic process. She is inspired to guide clients to access their inner knowing, with both art and talk therapy.

“Let’s work together to unfold
your inner narrative that awaits!
